🏥 NEET PG Counselling – West Bengal

1. Counselling Authority

  • Conducted by West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC).
  • Covers 50% State Quota seats in Government colleges and 100% seats in Private colleges (except NRI quota).

2. Seat Matrix (Approximate 2025)

  • Government Colleges: ~1,750 PG seats.
  • Private Colleges: ~300 PG seats.
  • Seat division available branch-wise and category-wise (UR, SC, ST, OBC, In-service, NRI etc.) through the official seat matrix PDF released round-wise.

3. Counselling Process

  1. Registration – Candidate registers on WBMCC portal.
  2. Choice Filling & Locking – Select preferred branches and colleges.
  3. Seat Allotment – Based on NEET PG rank, reservation, and seat matrix.
  4. Document Verification – Submit required certificates online/offline.
  5. Reporting – Join allotted college within given time.
  6. Subsequent Rounds – Vacant seats carried forward to Round-2, Mop-up, and Stray Vacancy rounds.
