JoSAA Counselling 2025

The JoSAA counselling 2025 registration is set to begin tentatively on June 10, 2025. The official JoSAA registration link will be updated on the website, josaa.nic.in. Only candidates who have successfully cleared either the JEE Main 2025 or JEE Advanced 2025 will qualify to participate in JoSAA counselling.

To become eligible for seat allotment and subsequent counselling rounds, students must complete the JoSAA registration and choice filling process. The JoSAA 2025 counselling will consist of six rounds in total. The JoSAA counselling process, overseen by JoSAA, facilitates admissions to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and IITs.

JoSAA Counselling 2025 Eligibility Criteria

There is no specific eligibility criterion for JoSAA counselling 2025. However, candidates must have qualified JEE Main 2025 or JEE Advanced 2025 to participate in JoSAA counselling. Additionally, candidates must meet the institute-specific eligibility criteria.


JoSAA 2025 Registration & Choice Filling Process

Step 1: Registration

  1. Visit the official website: JoSAA 2025.
  2. Click on the “Registration” link.
  3. Enter JEE Main 2025 roll number and password (JEE Advanced 2025 qualified candidates can use their JEE Advanced credentials).
  4. Provide details like nationality, state code of eligibility, gender, etc.

Step 2: Choice Filling

  • Candidates can fill their preferred colleges and courses based on their JEE rank.
  • The available options will be based on their JEE Main or JEE Advanced qualifications.
  • Prioritize the choices carefully.

Step 3: Choice Locking

  • Once candidates finalize their preferred choices, they must lock them before the deadline.
  • No modifications will be allowed after locking.
  • It’s advisable to print the locked choices for reference.

After the JEE Main 2025 and JEE Advanced 2025 results, JoSAA will release the rank list. Different rank lists will be prepared for various categories.

After seat allotment, candidates must choose one of the following options:

  • Floating: Accept the seat but remain open for better options in further rounds.
  • Freezing: Accept the seat and do not wish to participate in further counselling rounds.
  • Sliding: Accept the seat but remain open to better courses within the same institute.
