Kerala NEET-UG Counselling Process – Step by Step
Step No.
Process
Detailed Explanation
Step 1
Appear & Qualify NEET-UG 2026
Candidates must appear for NEET-UG 2026 and secure the minimum qualifying percentile prescribed for their category. Only candidates with a valid NEET score and rank are eligible to participate in Kerala state counselling.
Step 2
Register Online on CEE Kerala Portal Start 05 Jan 2026
After NEET results, candidates must register on the official CEE Kerala portal by entering personal details, academic information, and NEET-UG credentials. Registration is mandatory to take part in the counselling process.
Step 3
Upload Required Documents
Candidates must upload scanned copies of all required documents such as NEET scorecard, certificates, and nativity proof. These documents are verified by CEE to confirm eligibility, category, and reservation claims.
Step 4
Pay Counselling / Option Registration Fee
Candidates are required to pay the prescribed counselling and option registration fee online. Successful fee payment confirms participation in the allotment process and allows access to choice filling.
Step 5
Fill and Lock College & Course Choices
Candidates must select and prioritize their preferred medical or dental colleges and courses. Choice filling should be done carefully, as seat allotment depends on NEET rank, category, and options entered. Choices must be locked before the deadline.
Step 6
Seat Allotment Based on Rank & Options
CEE Kerala conducts centralized seat allotment considering NEET rank, reservation category, availability of seats, and candidate preferences. Provisional and final allotment results are published for each counselling round.
Step 7
Report to Allotted College
Candidates who receive a seat must download the allotment memo and report to the allotted college within the specified time. Original documents are verified, admission formalities are completed, and admission fees are paid.
Step 8
Participate in Round-2 / Mop-Up (If Needed)
Candidates who are not allotted a seat or wish to upgrade their seat can participate in subsequent rounds such as Round-2, Mop-Up Round, or Stray Vacancy Round, subject to eligibility and counselling rules.
