Eligibility Criteria
- NEET PG Qualification: Candidates must have qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
- Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess a recognized Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution or university.
- Internship Completion: Candidates must have completed or be completing their compulsory rotatory internship as per the regulations of the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the concerned regulatory authority by a specified date.
- Registration: Candidates should have valid registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the State Medical Council (SMC).
- Domicile: For state quota seats, candidates must fulfill the domicile requirements as specified by the state government or the concerned authority.
- Minimum Qualifying Percentile: Candidates must have obtained the minimum qualifying percentile in the NEET PG examination as specified by the regulatory authority.
- Reservation Criteria: Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD) must fulfill the eligibility criteria and provide the necessary documents for availing reservation benefits as per the government norms.

- Those who have been admitted to MBBS Courses based on a competitive exam conducted on behalf of the Government of Goa or CBSE (under All India Quota) before November 15, 2002, from a medical college situated in Goa will also be eligible for Goa PG medical admission 2024.
- Degree:
- Candidates must possess an MBBS degree from any medical college/institution of Bihar recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).
- Registration Certificate:
- Candidates must have a Goa state National Medical Commission (NMC) issued permanent or provisional registration certificate.
- Internship Completion:
- Candidates must have completed their compulsory one-year rotatory internship on or before March 31, 2024.
- Minimum Qualifying Percentile:
- Candidates must secure the NEET PG 2024 cutoff marks for admissions.
Goa NEET PG Counselling 2024
Step 1: Counselling Registration through Online
- Visit the Official Website: Go to the official portal of Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Goa, at gmc.goa.gov.in/index.php/en/.
- Registration: Use your NEET PG roll number and email registration used for NEET PG (NEET-PG) to register online.
- Payment: After successful registration, make the online payment. An SMS confirmation will be sent to your registered mobile number. Remember the password created during registration for choice filling.
Step 2: Online Security Money Payment
- Payment: Pay the required security money fees prescribed by GMCH, Goa.
- Availability of Choice Filling: Once the security money is paid and the state merit list is declared, the online seat choice filling option will be available as per the schedule.
Step 3: Merit Declaration
- Inter-se Rank: The reference for inter-se rank in the state merit list will be NEET-PG 2024.
- Final Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared and displayed on the website according to the provisions.
Step 4: Online Choice Filling
- Visit Website: Go to the official website of GMCH, Goa.
- Choice Filling: Log in using your NEET roll number and the password created during registration.
- Procedure: Follow the instructions to fill your choices. Remember to save and continue as choice filling can be done in several sessions. Once submitted and locked, no changes are possible.
- Seat Allotment List: After the last date of choice filling, the seat allotment list will be declared online.
Step 5: Seat Allotment
- Check Status: Log in to the website to check your seat allotment status.
- Acceptance: If you accept the allotment letter, but do not join or resign after joining, you will be eligible for the second counselling but will forfeit your security deposit.
- Upgrade Option: If you join the college, you remain eligible for the second counselling to upgrade your seat without losing your seat. If your seat is upgraded, the previous allotment will be automatic.
- Physically Disabled Category: Physically disabled category candidates are required to be physically present before a medical board as per the dates available on the website.
- Reserved Category: Candidates eligible for the reserved category will be given admission as per the rules of the state government applicable on the date of counselling.
- OBC Category: OBC candidates covered by the provisions of the creamy layer will not be entitled to the benefits of the OBC category.
- Document Verification: Candidates failing to produce required original documents at the time of admission or found concealing/falsifying facts will not be entitled to any benefits and may face legal action.
