- Nationality:
- Candidate must be an Indian national.
- Non-resident Indians (NRI) are eligible only for the 15% NRI quota seats in unaided private/minority medical colleges.
- Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are not eligible.
- Domicile:
- Candidate must have passed the final examination of the MBBS degree course from an institute in Maharashtra.
- He/she must have completed the compulsory rotatory internship by July 31, 2024.
- Candidates who have passed MBBS from a foreign university are not eligible.
- A candidate who is domiciled in the state of Maharashtra and has completed his/her MBBS from outside Maharashtra (allocated a seat under 15% AIQ) will also be eligible for the counselling of Maharashtra NEET PG 2024.

Counselling Procedure:
Step 1: Counselling Registration through Online
- Visit the official website of the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, Mumbai: https://cetcell.mahacet.org/
- Use NEET PG roll number and email registration details to register.
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
- After successful registration, NEET-PG registration details will be displayed.
- Make online payment for counselling.
- A confirmation SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number.
- Note the password created during registration for choice filling.
Step 2: Online Security Money Payment
- Pay the required security money fees prescribed by the authority.
- After payment and declaration of the state merit list, the online seat choice filling option will be available.
Step 3: Merit Declaration
- Final merit list will be prepared based on NEET-PG scores.
- Inter-se rank in the State merit list will be based on NEET-PG.
Step 4: Online Choice Filling
