Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship: The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Educational Qualification:
- Candidate must have completed MBBS from an institution located in the state of Mizoram and is a bonafide resident of Mizoram.
- Alternatively, the candidate must have completed MBBS from any institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC). Additionally, the candidate’s parents must hold a resident certificate.
- It is mandatory for candidates to complete a compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship on or before March 31, 2023.
- Registration: The candidate should be registered with the state Medical Council/National Medical Commission.
Important Command by MCC
- 50% All India Quota Seats of All States except J&K: Candidates can participate in counselling for 50% of the PG seats available in all states except Jammu & Kashmir.
- 100% Seats of Central Universities: Counselling covers 100% seats, including All India Quota seats and Institutional Quota seats, of Central Universities such as Aligarh Muslim University, Banaras Hindu University, University of Delhi, and Central Institutes, subject to eligibility conditions mentioned in the Important Questions related to Scheme of Counselling uploaded on the MCC website.
- 100% Seats of Deemed Universities: Candidates can apply for 100% of the PG seats available in Deemed Universities.
- 50% AIQ P.G. Seats of Colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC): Counselling includes 50% of the All India Quota PG seats of colleges under the Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), specifically for wards of ESIC insured persons.
- All P.G. Seats of Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions: Candidates can register for all PG seats available in Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions. (Note: Only registration part is applicable)
- Central Institutes and Specific Hospitals: This category includes 50% All India Quota seats and 50% seats of I.P University in institutions such as VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, ABVIMS & RML Hospital, and ESIC Institute, PGIMSR, Basaidarapur.
Mizoram NEET PG Counselling 2024
Step 1: Registration
- Candidates who have qualified in the NEET PG exam must register on the official website of the Mizoram Directorate of Health Services (DHS) during the specified registration period, typically starting in March or April.
- During registration, candidates are required to provide their personal details, academic information, and NEET PG score.
Step 2: Choice Filling
- After successful registration, candidates need to fill in their preferences for courses and colleges. Choices should be prioritized based on the candidate’s rank and eligibility criteria.
- It’s crucial for candidates to carefully consider their options and choose courses and colleges that align with their career goals and preferences.
Step 3: Seat Allotment
- The Mizoram DHS will conduct the seat allotment process based on the choices filled by candidates and their NEET PG rank.
- Seat allotment is done through a centralized counselling system, ensuring fairness and transparency in the allocation process.
- Candidates will be allotted seats according to their merit and preferences, as determined by the counselling authorities.
Step 4: Reporting to the Allotted College
- Once seats are allotted, candidates must report to the allotted college within the specified period, as mentioned in the counselling schedule.
- It is mandatory for candidates to carry their original documents for verification during the reporting process.
- Upon successful verification and admission, candidates can proceed with the formalities required to secure their seat in the allotted college.
Documents Required
- MBBS Certificate: A copy of the MBBS degree certificate issued by the respective university or institution.
- MBBS 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-year Mark Sheets: Copies of mark sheets for each year of the MBBS program.
- Medical Registration Certificate: Proof of registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or the National Medical Commission (NMC).
- Internship Completion Certificate: A certificate confirming the completion of the compulsory rotatory residential internship.
- Photo Identity Proof: Any government-issued photo identification document such as Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Passport, or Driving License. Self-attested photocopy after verification with the original document.
- Copy of Birth Certificate: Required for proof of age if the date of birth is not mentioned in the High School Certificate (HSC) mark sheet or certificate.
- NEET Score Card: Copy of the NEET PG scorecard issued by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
- Copy of Online Counselling Registration Certificate: Proof of registration for NEET PG counselling.
- Sponsorship Certificate from State Government (if applicable): If the candidate is sponsored by the state government, a sponsorship certificate may be required.
