Step 1: Visiting the NEET Counseling Website
The first step in the NEET counseling process is to visit the official website during the specified time for NEET UG Counseling 2024. You can access the website at https://wbmcc.nic.in/.
Step 2: Registration
Once on the website, you’ll need to register using your NEET UG 2024 Roll Number, Application Number, Name, Mother’s Name, and Date of Birth. It’s essential to check this information for accuracy and make any necessary edits before proceeding to payment.
Step 3: Completing the Application and Payment
After registration, complete the application form and proceed to pay the counseling fee online. It’s crucial to confirm your caste and EWS (Economically Weaker Section) status during this step. If you’re applying for OBC seats, ensure to submit a Non-Creamy Layer Certificate promptly.
Step 4: Physical Document Verification
Following successful registration and payment, you’ll need to undergo physical document verification. This involves attending a designated venue at the specified date and time slot with original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies. Upon successful verification, you’ll receive a verified certificate.
Step 5: Choice Filling and Locking

Step 6: Seat Allotment and Admission
Allotment of seats is based on inter se merit, caste, PwD (Persons with Disabilities) status, and category. Counseling Rounds
The counseling process typically includes several rounds:
- Round 1 Counseling: Involves online registration, application, fee payment, document verification, choice filling, locking, seat allotment, another round of physical document verification, and admission at the allotted college.
- Round 2 Counseling: Eligible candidates include those who were allotted seats in Round 1 but did not report, among others. Candidates who missed Round 1 can also register and participate.
- Round 3 Counseling: Allows fresh registration and participation. Candidates who were not allotted in previous rounds, those who have not reported to allotted colleges, and those who failed document verification can participate.
- Online Stray Vacancy Round Counseling: Fresh registration is allowed, and non-allotted candidates from previous rounds can participate. No choice upgradation is permitted.
- Physical Stray Vacancy Round Counseling: Only previously verified non-allotted candidates can participate. These candidates physically report to colleges for vacant seats.
